Concur is also well bred on his mother’s side. The BWP performance <\/span><\/span>line<\/span><\/span> 34, the <\/span><\/span>line<\/span><\/span> of <\/span><\/span>Querly<\/span><\/span> Chin, represents the silverware of Belgian breeding, is one of the world’s most important dam lines in terms of jumping horses and is mainly cared for by the renowned breeder and stallion owner Joris de Brabander, head of <\/span><\/span>the stable<\/span><\/span> de <\/span><\/span>Muze<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>Concur’s<\/span><\/span> grandmother <\/span><\/span>by <\/span><\/span>Quidam<\/span><\/span> de Revel brought five successful offspring in international sport, the third dam<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span> by<\/span><\/span> Calato<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span> also brought <\/span><\/span>jumping horses <\/span><\/span>successful up <\/span><\/span>to 1.60m. The fourth dam, <\/span><\/span>Narcotique<\/span><\/span> de <\/span><\/span>Muze<\/span><\/span> II<\/span><\/span>, was Belgium’s figurehead both in sport and in breeding: <\/span><\/span>herself successful up to 1.60m under the Canadian Eric Lamaze, the mare by <\/span><\/span>Darco<\/span><\/span> also became mother to licensed stallions <\/span><\/span>and delivered athletes <\/span><\/span>for <\/span><\/span>the international top class<\/span><\/span>es<\/span><\/span> in series, including the dam of Vagabond de la Pomme, highly decorated with the Frenchwoman <\/span><\/span>P\u00e9n\u00e9lope<\/span><\/span> Leprevost<\/span><\/span> in five-star c<\/span><\/span>lasses<\/span><\/span>, World Cup jumping and Nations<\/span><\/span> Cups.<\/span><\/span> Also<\/span><\/span> the dam of <\/span><\/span>Narcotique<\/span><\/span>de <\/span><\/span>Muze<\/span><\/span> II, Qerly<\/span><\/span> Chin<\/span> by Chin <\/span><\/span>Chin<\/span><\/span>, with Christophe Barbeau (SUI) reserve horse of the Olympic Games in Athens, and her dam <\/span><\/span>Kerly<\/span><\/span> by<\/span><\/span> Pachat<\/span><\/span> II were successful at 1.60 meter level.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Many other top international horses can be attributed to this <\/span><\/span>dam line<\/span><\/span>: <\/span><\/span>Killer Queen <\/span><\/span>VDM<\/span><\/span>, for<\/span><\/span> example, Daniel Deusser’s Olympic partner in Tokyo, who won six Grand Prix over 1.60 m in 2022 alone. Or the stallion <\/span><\/span>Qyerlybet<\/span><\/span> Hero<\/span><\/span>, a son <\/span><\/span>of Narcotique<\/span><\/span> de <\/span><\/span>Muze<\/span><\/span> II<\/span><\/span>, one of the top horses of Philippe Le Jeune (BEL). <\/span><\/span>Sea Coast Ferly<\/span><\/span>, a grey mare, also from<\/span><\/span>Narcotique de Muze II, collected<\/span><\/span> ribbons<\/span><\/span> under Gudrun <\/span><\/span>Patteet<\/span><\/span> (BEL) <\/span><\/span>in<\/span><\/span> 1.60 m course as well as <\/span><\/span>Heroine de <\/span><\/span>Muze<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>with which the Japanese Olympic rider Taizo Sugitani won the individual gold medal at the Asian Games in 2019. <\/span><\/span>Her<\/span><\/span> son <\/span><\/span>Levis<\/span><\/span> de <\/span><\/span>Muze<\/span><\/span> was one of the most respected horses at the 2021 European Championships in Riesenbeck, when the Greek Ioli Mytilineou finished twelfth in the individual ranking with the then <\/span><\/span>only <\/span><\/span>ten-year-old. With <\/span><\/span>Nimrod de Muze Z<\/span><\/span>, Pedro Veniss represented Brazil’s colours at the 2022 World Championships in Herning. In the saddle of <\/span><\/span>Go Easy de Muze<\/span><\/span>, Irishman Darragh Kenny finished fifth at the Nations Cup final in Barcelona in 2015. Four years later, Niels Bruynseels (BEL) won team silver at this final in the saddle of the stallion <\/span><\/span>Jenson van’t Meulenhof<\/span><\/span>, another representative of the <\/span><\/span>dam line<\/span><\/span>. Lorenzo de Luca represented <\/span><\/span>Italy at the World Cup Finals with Ensor de Litrange LXIII<\/span><\/span> in Ohama in 2017 and Gothenburg in 2019. And Harrie Smolders (NED) relied on the <\/span><\/span>Qerly<\/span><\/span> Chin <\/span><\/span>daughter<\/span><\/span> Exquis<\/span><\/span> Walnut de <\/span><\/span>Muze<\/span><\/span> at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, with w<\/span><\/span>hich<\/span><\/span> he had finished fourth with the team at the 2009 European Championships in Windsor and won Grand Prix and Nations Cups in Madrid, Dublin, Doha, Wellington, Mechelen and Calgary. Her son <\/span><\/span>I’m Special de <\/span><\/span>Muze<\/span><\/span> is a globally sought-after sire, as is <\/span><\/span>Million Dollar<\/span><\/span>, who was already able to celebrate success under Sophie Hinners in 2022 as a ten-year-old up to the Nations Cup victory in Mannheim. Among the figureheads of the <\/span><\/span>dam line<\/span><\/span> is undoubtedly the winning stallion of the BWP licensing 2013 <\/span><\/span>Kasanova<\/span><\/span> de la <\/span><\/span>Pomme<\/span><\/span>, with Koen <\/span><\/span>Verrecke<\/span><\/span> (BEL) in the saddle winner of the Sires of the World jumping in Lanaken in 2021 and celebrated winner of double gold at the Nations Cup final in Barcelona in 2022.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The e<\/span><\/span>xceptional talent Concur himself is well on the way to adding another great chapter to the long success story of his <\/span><\/span>dam line<\/span><\/span>: At his short <\/span><\/span>performance test <\/span><\/span>in November 2022 in Elmshorn, which he completed with a score of 8.08 in <\/span><\/span>a<\/span><\/span> top field, he convinced under the saddle as in his licensing not only o<\/span><\/span>ver <\/span><\/span>the <\/span><\/span>fence<\/span><\/span>, but also with <\/span><\/span>his willingness to perform<\/span><\/span>, excellent rideability, natural<\/span><\/span>ly<\/span><\/span> uphill <\/span><\/span>canter<\/span><\/span>, \u00a0best balance and correct <\/span><\/span>conformation<\/span><\/span>.
